Emerging Directors Initiative

Initiative: the power or opportunity to act or take charge before others do.

The Lyric Repertory Company is dedicated to the mentorship and cultivation of new directors from under-represented populations (female-identifying and/or people of color).  We recognize the power and value of investing in the future artists of live theatre, and in response have created an Emerging Directors Initiative (EDI).  Our initiative is designed specifically for MFA directing students in their second or third year of training who wish to pursue a professional career in the theatre as a stage director.
