Jim Christian directs Grey Gardens this summer for the Lyric Rep!

In 2012, Jim Christian directed, Big River, the most popular show in Lyric Rep history. Last summer, Jim returned to direct the revival of Big River for the 50th Anniversary. Other Lyric Rep directing credits include: Arsenic and Old Lace, Noises Off!, The Musical of Musicals (The Musical), The Drowsy Chaperone, The 39 Steps, and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged).

Jim recently retired as the director of Musical Theatre Studies at Weber State University. His directing credits include the Utah Shakespeare Festival, Pioneer Theatre Company, Utah Opera, and theatres in California, Arizona, Kentucky, Illinois, Montana, Florida, and Wyoming. Jim is also an award-winning playwright whose work has been performed at the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. and various theatres across the country.
